Swizz Beats Talks Watch the Throne

Straight off of Kanye To The.com, Swizz Beats was asked about Watch the Throne while in England on Dj Semtex's radio show.  Here's what he head to say, mainly about Jay-Z:
Jay is on another planet right now. I was just working with him and Kanye on they album, and I got to vibe with Jay on some other things. I’ll let him tell you about it. But he just lyrically stepped it up like he didn’t make it into hip-hop yet. [...] I was like, man, you sound hungry like you didn’t make a dollar yet. And that’s the key to maintaining staying hungry and maintain staying dedicated to the craft.
Get's me even more pumped for this Dynamic Duo Collaboration Album

Lil Wayne - How to Love

Lil Wayne's most recent single for the hyped up album "Tha Carter IV" is a complete switch for Wayne.  After hearing 6 foot 7, and then John W/ Rick Ross you'd think that Wayne was coming hard with his next album.  Then you hear the soft ass 13-19 year old teenage girl Radio Hit above and it makes you reconsider.  Sell Out is a common term thrown around, and well its already too late for Wayne, the hype for Tha Carter IV has died in my opinion.  What do you all think?

Diggy Simmons - Copy,Paste

Since the blog I used to always visit was the All City Chess Club blog, I found artists, and after watching a few season's of Run's House you wouldn't think that Diggy Simmons would be surpassing his bro Jo Jo in fame or would become a big time rapper.  Well this teenage kid is on his way, after hearing click-clack Away which I was very impressed with.  It's rumored that this new song will be a single off of his Debut album.  I think Click-Clack Away should be, but see for yourself.

Chiddy Bang - Peanut Butter & Swelly

It's here for all you Chiddy Bang Fans, after releasing new songs each day this week, Chiddy Bangs PB&Swelly mix tape has dropped.  15 songs with guest features from Mac Miller, Trae the Truth, and many more.  Xaphoon Jones never fails to impress me with the beats and Chidera's rapping is on point with what we're used to hearing from Chiddy Bang.  After witnessing him break the freestyle record, we now have 48 minutes of Chiddy Bang.

Chiddy Bang - When You've got Music

Chiddy Bang decided to release a song a day this week in the final week before there new mix tape drops "Peanut Butter & Swelly" this song features a sample from the Knocks and is actually not too bad, I'm not a huge Chiddy Fan but this is the first I've heard of them since the Rap World Record so I figured i had to check it out and its pretty good, be looking for the mix tape link here friday.

Laws - Dear Boy

Laws whose a Rapper of Brazilian Decent teams up with the producers Justice League for this song, featuring a Paul McCartney Sample.  I've personally been a fan of Laws after I heard the tape 4:57, and then the follow up 5:01 since then I hadn't heard much of him besides the song "Honor" featuring CyHi Da Prynce.  Well now Laws has this song and a new tape coming out tomorrow actually called "Yesterday's Future" so if you like this song then check back tomorrow for the tape.

J Cole - Return of Simba

J Cole Dropped this song last night, and we have all been told that the song isn't a single off of the Album, so there's speculation that the song is off the album or not, and it seems like everything that Cole has dropped has been like throw away tracks off of the Album, that we've been waiting for, for a long while.  It seems as if the Hype for Cole has fallen, and in my opinion I'm not that excited when the album comes out.  This song is alright, It's nothing special to me, but still a pretty good song, and I know I got some Cole fans out there so give me your opinions.

All of the Lights Goes Platinum

In an already big week for rapper Kanye West, first making out with a mysterious blonde on a balcony in Cannes, to him showing up at the Cannes Film Festival in a 1.7 Million Dollar SLR McLaren, to rumors of Jay- Z and his Epic collaboration album "Watch the Throne" being complete, and lastly getting 5 BET Award Nominations.  Well this one surpasses them all for now, as Mr. West's hit song All of the Lights off of his latest album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" has gone Platinum, quite a feat for Mr. West. Article below:

AOTL Goes Platinum

Jesus Lp - Blu

Out of nowhere one of my favorite artists Blu decided to drop a new LP.  In everyone's anticipation for Blu's first major record deal album to drop entitled "No York" Blu came straight outta left field with this LP.  Blu is a California West Coast Rapper, most known for his outstanding collaboration album with the producer Exile "Below the Heavens"  Jesus LP features 11 songs and is 28 minutes long.  It isn't in the best quality but its in a better quality then what we got with the GodLee Barnes.  It's worth checking out.

David Dallas - The Rose Tint

A Free Album Released by David Dallas a Few Days Ago.  David Dallas is a White Rapper from New Zealand.  I had never heard of him at all, until I was searching a message board I frequent and stumbled upon this.  This isn't heavy hitting or anything like that, but it is a nice Chill Free Rap Album and has a good guest feature from Freddie Gibbs.  "Read more for DL link and favorite song"

The Game feat Lil Wayne - Red Nation Video

Red Nation Game feat Lil Wayne

For some reason youtube isn't cooperating with me.  So click on the link above for the video.  Anyway the first single off of Game's new album "Red Nation" is titled Red Nation.  Featuring Lil Wayne, who offers a sort of chorus on the song.  the main reason this is posted is because MTV and BET refused to air this video and banned it, so the Game posted it on his vevo today and here it is.  Sorry about it being in link form, instead of video form, just click and enjoy.

E-Man - Bittersweet Memories of Dead Roses

Shout out to Hotasstrax.com for finding this one.  I don't know much about E-Man at all, but I do know that you shouldn't let the Drake "So Far Gone" cover design confuse you, this is far from "So Far Gone" which was a good album in it's own right.  E-Man doesn't have a flow like Drake or anything, but he does have a decent flow.  This album overall is pretty good and worth a few listens, I'm interested to see how E-Man progresses and this was his 2nd mix tape, but its worth a listen.

J Cole - See it to Believe It

Originally found on 2DopeBoyz.com this is the first time I've heard any new J Cole in a while, but here he is with a song that will not be on the album, whenever that comes out, decent song, I'm not head over heels for it, but here you can have your own opinion check it out and look for Cole World, whenever it drops.

Jon Connor feat XV - You ain't getting nothing

Found this new song on HowFlyHIPHop.com, a rapper by the name of Jon Connor teamed up with XV to bring us this one.  I'm not to familiar with Jon Connor but ya'll have google, and XV is just on a role after dropping Zero Heroes last April, then coming in this one with a pretty good verse, XV is on his way to the top and these past 2 months have been just another rung of the ladder climbed.

Tha Carter IV Teaser - Lil Wayne

Released today by Universal Motown's youtube page was a teaser for Lil Wayne's upcoming album "Tha Carter IV"  Lil Wayne in my book is very hit and miss, "Tha Carter III" was a good album, but then he came back with "I'm not a Human Being" which was complete garbage in my opinion, but I have good hopes for "Tha Carter IV" this teaser says "Be very afraid" so I'm interested to see how the album plays out, Tha Carter IV will be coming soon, so keep looking out for it.

Tyler the Creator - Goblin

I must say I'm really not a Tyler fan or an Odd Future fan but props to Tyler the Creator for this album.  This album has a lot of shock value, and once you get past the vividly disturbing images, tyler has a hell of a message in most of the songs on this album.  He's not trying to be a role model, he's rapping about what he wants to, and I have to respect that.  Since it's what I preach about other rappers, its just Tyler does it in a sicker way then other rappers, but he's different and a change in the game.  I bought the album and you should also, because this kid is rapping about what he wants to, he's not trying to get fans, he's just making music cause he loves it.  Buy the album, it'll be an eye opener to you.

10 Softest Rappers in the Game

One of the blog's I occasionally read realesed its 2nd annual "10 Softest Rappers in the Game" list.  Last year the list consisted of Drake at #1, #2, and #3, this year he toned it down a little bit and has Drake at #1 again, but has 9 other rappers listed also, check it out below:

Big Sean - I Do It

Released by RapRadar.com on Mother's Day, I guess for all the Mom's out there, they probably won't approve of it, but I have to say that I am more of a fan of "My Last" then I am of this new song supposedly off of Finally Famous produced by No ID and Trackster, but I don't know maybe you will like it more than I do, I still will be purchasing Finally Famous when it drops June 21st though, you gotta support the GOOD Family.

The Show - NiceGuys

I realize that I might've lost some credibility from some of you guys by not posting in a while and by posting a Justin Bieber video (SMH) but I'm hopefully back to posting regularly just for a high school kid with AP Exams, its not fun.  You guys honestly couldn't give a shit about that, so lets get to the music.  Although this was released in 2010, you can't find too much on these guys but when I found this I was impressed and I'm digging The NiceGuys.  The NiceGuys are a rap group from Houston, Texas, consisting of Yves Saint the rapper of the group and then producers Free and Christolph and Dj CandleStick.  They believe in three things "good clothes, good music, nice guys" and thats what they are Yves Saint has some very lyrical stuff and a good flow, they were quite refreshing to hear.  ("Read More" to hear my favorite song off the Show and for the DL link)

Coming later this week

Some of the things I've been working on in my absence of posting, check back in a few days:

XV - Zero Heroes Mix tape Review

Yonas - The Proven Theory Album Review

Chiddy Bang World Record Freestyle

On April 28th, one half of the Duo Chiddy Bang, member "Chiddy" decided to go for a Guiness World Record.  Sitting in a room with other member Xaphoon Jones and the Guiness World Record representative, rapped for 9 hours 18 minutes and 22 seconds.  Besting the previous record of 9 hours 15 minutes 15 seconds.  Chiddy had help from the interwebs, by having people tweet to him idea that he could rap about.  This was one heck of a feat, and I have to say even though a lot of it is corny, it's still very entertaining to watch.  Props to Chiddy for pulling off this remarkable record.

Look at me Now - Justin Bieber and Chris Brown Live

I mean we obviously all know that the song "Look at me Now" off of Chris Brown's new album features Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne, but at a live performance in Australia.  Justin Bieber had a surprise guest for us all and brought out Chris Brown himself.  They performed "Look at me Now" but instead of having Busta rap his verse, Justin Bieber decided to take it over and let's just say he killed it.  I don't have the Bieber Fever, but wow, I must say I'm very impressed with Beiber's performance.

Big Sean Freestyle

As you could tell if you read this blog regularly, I'm a Huge Kanye Stan, and because I love everything Kanye, the G.O.O.D. Music group is the best one out there in my opinion.  So, here is Big Sean a Detroit rapper signed by Ye's G.O.O.D. Music group.  Big Sean is doing a freestyle on Cosmic Kev.  At the end of the Freestyle Sean mentions that a few of the bars are off his album, which might finally be coming out after we've waited forever.  Look for "Finally Famous" coming soon (Hopefully)
